As we continue to study the lives of those who fought and served in the American Civil War. We continue to remind ourselves of their struggles, their battles and their desire for this thing called Freedom. Connecticut had it’s share of losses during the war.
On February 8, 1862 a number of soldiers from the town of New London loss their lives at The Battle of Roanoke Island, NC. When you have a chance take a moment to learn about that battle.
